A Missouri man has been arrested after his disabled girlfriend was strangled to death at a resort in Mexico.
John Loveless, 59, of Franklin County, was detained at the airport in Cancun as he was about to board a flight to Atlanta.
His girlfriend, 36-year-old Tamra Turpin, was found dead on Wednesday at the condo they had rented in the Caribbean resort city of Playa del Carmen, near Cancun.
A forensic examination found she died of asphyxia by strangulation.
