Uyen Mi's real name is Vina Truong. She was born in New Orleans after her family came to settle here in 1975. From a very young age, Uyen Mi has demonstrated an interest in music.
This didn't go unnoticed as her father, Mr. Truong Si Luong, a musician himself, encouraged his young daughter to pursue this field.
Uyen Mi's older sister is Ni Ni, the other third of the trio who often appears on Asia's Entertainment videos with her younger sibling and Ha Vy.
Being from a family of musicians, Uyen Mi enjoyed both the tutelage from her father and older sister.
