Andrew Greig
Biography
Andrew Greig was born in Bannockburn, Scotland, and grew up in Anstruther, Fife. He was educated at the University of Edinburgh and is a former Glasgow University Writing Fellow and Scottish Arts Council Scottish/Canadian Exchange Fellow.Andrew greig author biography format
He won an Eric Gregory Award in 1972, and his first book of poetry, White Boats(with Catherine Lucy Czwerkawska), was published in 1973.
It was followed by Men on Ice(1977), Surviving Passages (1982), A Flame In Your Heart(with Kathleen Jamie, 1986).
The Order of the Day (Bloodaxe 1990) was a Poetry Book Society Choice. Other collections include Western Swing(Bloodaxe 1994); Into You(Bloodaxe 2001). This Life, This Life: New and Selected Poems 1970-2006, was published by Bloodaxe in 2006.
